About Colinfest

In the winter of 2006, Danny Cohen, my former housemate and the author of the Colin McIntyre Theme Song, suggested and promoted the original Colinfest. It was a low-budget celebration of food, fun, friends, and food. So low-budget that guests were encouraged to bring their own plates, and one raffle-winner took home a used Rick Astley cassette (the original Rick-Roll).

After a brief hiatus in 2007, Colinfest reemerged slightly bigger and slightly better than ever in 2008, and has continued every year since. The first ever satellite event, Colinfest West, took place in San Francisco in 2010 in the home of generous hosts, Mike and Kristi. Feeling badly about missing every previous Colinfest, my dear friend, Logan, purchased a home to host the 2010 event, which promises to be comparable in size to previous events, and a little better than Colinfest 2009.
